I have two of these boxes installed. When they first were put in they worked great. Then I started having a problem with one in a bedroom farther away from the modem. It pixelated like crazy. I was advised to install the xFinity pods which I did at more cost. Now both wireless boxes worked fine. Last week, the boxes started not working every morning. It seems that when an update occurs at 2am the boxes lose connection. In order to restart them I was told by Comcast to do the following:
Press the xFinity button on the remote
When the menu appears chose On Demand
Pick a free movie and start it
After about 5 minutes change the channel and the box should be working
This works but what a pain in the butt to have to do this to two TVs every morning.
Comcast has no clue how to fix this via their telephone support. I'm waiting for a tech to come out later in the week. Anyone else having this issue??
