OK, received a brand new cable card andd installed it in the TIVO. I advised the cable card tech support that the new card was issued because I could not access Ifinity app through my TIVO box. She then told me that it has nothing to do with the new card they just sent. That TIVO made the app and that app tivo made will not work to access the apps additional programming I am already paying for. So she said while it is all turned on for me and I can receive it, it is the xfinity app made by tivo that is not functional. That TIVO is fully liable for blocking my signal due to the app TIVI made with the name tivo on it. So what I have learned is that TIVO, myself and c omcast had a three way conversation where comcast admitted there problem and sent me a new cable card. Now today it is reversed and Comcast says not at all our problem, it is tivo's problem./ It should be pointed out that interception of the access card owned by comcast is covered under 18 U.S. Code § 2511 and is as such, restricted. The issue then becomes that while comcast sells and customers pay for the rights to access the programming they paid for, either comcast or TIVO has blocked that signal through the app that controls that access card. Through no fault of the consumer, 18 USC 2511 is being violated and calls for a $15,000 fine for each count. While each company blames the other, the consumer has no control over the unlawful control of the access card where programming cannot be received in the same way others with a comcast card in a comcast made box can. Because if this ddeniel of access for only tivo usesers, a class action may be launched un 18 USC 2511 for unlawful control of the access card which denied end useers the access to programming made part of the package they paid for.

I am just starting the process. I found out that while I was paying what others pay, I was not getting the free on demand and other stars movies and such because I use a cable card in a TIVO. All apps I have on TIVO work except Xfinity. I called TIVO and they finally referred me to xfinity as there is an issue with the cable card in my tivo. so I called 877-405-2298 and every thing is set up OK. They ran all kinds of tests. So they will be mailing me two new cable cards from the warehouse. case VI334. Of course the FCC requires that those who use a cable card should not be denied what others have while paying the same price. And if one is paying what others pay and not getting the same service, free on demand and starts chennels, then a refund is due. I am going to try these cards being sent. If they do not work the FCC can enforce the regulations they over see regarding cable cards. There is ample complaints about this on various web sites so the FCC should have no issue to see what is going on.
