Just purchased an Arris SVG2482AC modem and had no problems with setting everything up. The problem I now have is with only connecting to the 5G channel. I didn't even have to call Comcast to activeate the mocem - routor. Sorry I could not help with your problem but wanted to let you know their is no problem with the Arris modem on Camcast. It must be something with your setup or with Comcast side of it.
