I just wanted to see if I could get a deal on upgrading from 100 mpbs to 400 mpbs on my internet only plan. I used the chat option and spoke to a representative who told me that their phone agents might be able to give me a better rate than the offers online. I requested a call and I got a call back from an agent and explained I saw it was $70 online and wanted to know if they could do better on the phone. The agent said they would check that for me. There was a rustle as she set the phone headset down, and then disappeared for 11 minutes (no joke) while I got to listen to them give an announcement in the call center, all cheer, and then another rustle as she decided to pick up my call again. At this point she asked me again what I wanted and then called me Eric. My name isn't Eric. She stumbled through some typing for a few minutes at which point she said she could sell me the upgrade for $90 a month. I told her that, as I already stated earlier in the call, the website advertised $70 and I was hoping to beat that price. She then click about on her cimputer for a while and then asked me to press the button the website. I have no idea what she was talking about. I tried to get some information from her but she was completely useless and at the end of my 15 minute call I had gotten nowhere other than deciding xfinity customer support was useless. I told her to end the call so I could review her service. She put the headset down and continued talking to coworkers, then put me on hold, and after a while I lost interest and hung up. Yes xfinity, this is the type of customer you have trying to make you money. I can only imagine what sort of troll you put on the phone to resolve billing and technical questions..

Three more calls to tech support (I swear they are the most incompetent people on the planet) and I am back at suare one. Each time my call is being "escalated" and will call me back - each time I call back they make me start at square one and insist they will escalate it again.
How is this company still in business?

Not sure if this is the right place.
Despite my better judgement I recently signed up for xfinity internet again. I cannot connect to any public wifi hotspots (xinifitywifi, XFINITY or CableWiFi) using my iphone 7 (all updated). For xfinitywifi it sits on 'unsecured connection' and then times out and never connects. It does show an IP but I cannot browse (and doesn't redirect me to login). For XFINITY and CableWifi it just sits spinning on connecting and never connects.
I have tried:
Moving to another hotspot area
Resetting Network Settings
Clearings any security profiles
Installing xfinity hotpots app (and installing fresh secutiry profiles)
Uninstall hotspot app
Calling customer support (which is its own torture - several broken english call backs, which start off at square one, including one 45 minute conversation where the rep had me install xFi app despite it having nothing to do witht he public hotspots, and once it finally downloaded 30 minutes later (there is a reason I'm trying to use the hotspots afterall) and it didn't work, I again explained this wasn't a home wifi issue and she put me on hold then hung up.) Absolute worst customer service.
