Last night after moving Home theater rack found X1 displaying "Select language****" but would not respond to remote input. Contacted Xfinity through chat after trying:
1)reseting X1 box 2) tried different XR11 remote; neither solved problem.
Xfinity agent had me get X1 box SN (only later discovered it's on my profile on Xfinity My Account App); told me he was senting a RESET but never saw X1 REBOOT; also had me power RESET X1.
After about 1.5 hrs was told it would be escalated to the advanced group. I should have checked this Forum first; told agent it must be a IR issue with X1 box because both remotes (XR11) could control both my TV & receiver but that info fell on deaf ears. As with other posts using XR11 Setup code 981 was the fix. Thank you forum for the help!
