Well the sad thing is that over the past 4 hours (now 12:06pm CST), I called Comcast tech support 3 different times, and at no time did any Comcast Rep. tell me that there was some kind of streaming upgrade in progress. This suggests that the upper level folks don't have a way to communicate these issues down to the low level call-takers or support (or don't use whatever process they have in place), leaving the customers frustrated and feeling like nothing is being done to resolve the problem. They just kept telling me that Win 7 is too old, my modem is too old and buy a new one, reboor the computer and modem, or roll a truck.
At all times during this outage, I was recording a Netflix movie and there was nothing wrong with my connection. It's clear the low level folks are working from a script and don't have any independent troubleshooting skills or don't know how to use their troubleshooting skills.

I have the same issue. Cannot stream anything from Comcast website (on any browser) - error code ftde.0001. I have cleared the cache many times, rebooted the PC and the modem may times. Same message and no streaming. Comcast (low level support) says it a browser issue.
It was working fine yesterday and for years before that. This is a new isue for me that started today. My login is fine, but streaming is broken. It seems that this has been going on for some time now. When is Comcast going to fix this?
