It is very surprizing that Comcast is ready to give offers for customers who disconnect their service and willing to come back after a gap, but do not provide the same offer for Customers willing to stay with them. This is the exact opposite of what other industries such as Banking, Insurance, Health Care, etc do where long term customers are valued and given preferential treatment.
I have had good experience with Comcast Internet Service, but it does not make sense to keep paying for a service that is priced double of what Verizon FIOS offers to me, and getting half the speed.I have talked to an agent today, and she confirmed that she cannot provide any offer other than having me pay "full price" for the internet. I have requested her to disconnect my services in a few weeks while I plan to sign up for FIOS. It is a shame that Comcast seems to focus more on getting new customers to the point that they seem to lose sight of existing customers.
