I've had the same problem for a couple months. The first time it "froze" I got a workaround from comcast which worked for awhile albeit clumsy and much manual input, but then that workaround stoppped. I've been told it is a YouTube software problem but why has this taken so long to resolve. I've also questioned whether there are some non broadcasted internal limits to usage and been told there are none. I used this feature heavily as who wouldn't want to watch YouTube on a big screen rather than laptop or smart phone.
