I went through this experience this weekend and pulled my hair out. I finally found this thread and reset the modem to factory defaults. After enabling bridge mode, everything has been rock solid today. Knock on wood.
The frustrating part for me, is the comcast phone support and technical never suggested a new code version download might be the issue. I spent an hour Sunday with an on-site technician that failed to provide any value.
Is there anyway to review when a firmware upgrade occurs, i.e. the time and date of last upgrade.
