Hello! I am a Comcast/Xfinity customer who currently has a Double Play package that is listed as the following:
Digital Starter 140+ Channels
Performance Internet Download speeds up to 60 Mbps
While I am satisfied with the package, I am finding that I don't watch some of the channels included in the 140 Digital Starter Tier. If anything, I stream a lot of what I watch with the occaisional normal television program. I was wondering is there is a TV/Internet package that has less channels, includes HD, and a second outlet. The Internet service I am actually very happy with and don't really need to change or downgrade Internet service. If a change in the TV part of the service means going to a Comcast outlet to exchange or get different equipment, I am okay with that. I never had a need for DVR (I don't believe I have it now), so I am not interested in having that feature. I also don't have a need for any phone service to be included (which is how I am in a double play package now).
Is there a double play or some package that allows me to downgrade what I have for TV service (meaning less channels, but keeping HD and the second outlet), but keep my existing Internet service? I am okay with going as far down as having just the local TV channels available in my area if need be.
Please let me know, thank you!

I have received both a letter and a voicemail stating I had old equipment, yet when I tune to Channel 1995 on all set top boxes that I have, I get a message stating "This set-top box is good to go!" The boxes are both Scientific Atlanta 4250 Explorer HDCs which I got close to 6 years ago (or even more) now. Are these boxes known to be compatible with the new MPEG 4? Or is the message on Channel 1995 a false positive?
