Comcast has no technical excuse for this -- they support other platforms like the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, so adding another platform should be marginal (or they have a major design flaw).  All they do is answer a SAML call from HBO to verify the features on the account, this is both trivial to implement and not resource intensive.  There's no technical argument that can explain why they can't implement HBO Go for Tivo.   Pulling BS like this on their paying customers is why Comcast is such a hated company. ...
