This is an issue I am having and sounds like a global issue however comcast doesn't pay me to keep a log of my television watching and report the particulars on when it freezes. It happens all the time on a variety of shows at various times and various commercials.
Perhaps until Comcast can do it right they should take care of their customers and eliminate commercials. I travel for work so this is the only way I get to watch my shows and so if it wont work then what use do I have for your' service.
