Filed my FCC complaint today. I know very well that however they are "measuring" the data usage-- they are not doing it correctly. And I have called Comcast SEVERAL times about this and told them this. I used to work for Comcast internet tech support back in '09 so I KNOW how internet modems work. Here is my data usage for the last 3 months based on their readings.. April- 501GB, May- 145GB, June- 375 GB, July (as of the 14th)- 109GB. HOW in the world does that make any sense?? My family was on vacation from July 8th-the 12th and only my brother was here at my house during those days. I have called Comcast many times and asked that my lines be looked into because when my services were installed when we moved to this house last July, our installation was a wreck. It took 10 hours- no joke. We had packet loss which means the data is being sent over and over again until it sends through. They gave me the same excuse as everyone else "someone may be hacked into your WIFI". So, I pleased them by changing my passwords and WIFI name. Still no change. I have always stood behind Comcast for years, but this is getting ridiculous. I have been fighting this for the past year now.

I completely agree. We have been with comcast for years, back before this cap was in place. I have worked from home since 2006 and this is killing me. Between my work usage on the computer & our personal usage, we easily go over the cap. Our choice is to either go to a business account and pay $150 JUST for unlimited internet and have to keep our TV on a residential account and pay another $150-$180 just for TV. Or we stay on the residential side and have the cap and pay a cheaper price with our bundle. And not only this, because I work from home, I am legally transferring files because I do web design. Well guess what?! They put a stupid block on that to stop the illegal music downloads and stuff but it also stops the people who are doing it the legit way. So I can't transfer anything for my work through an FTP client. They have screwed more people than they think. Money brings misery.
