I have been having this error for literally months. All cables tightened, power-cycled everything multiple times, swapped out coax, etc. Internet works fine, guide and channels work fine "live", but VOD gives the error "Failed to contact the On-Demand server. Please call customer service for assistance. [CL-0X000F]." Called 1-800-Comcast, spoke with an overseas CSR (the menu no longer gave the option to select tech support or billing?). Asked for tech support, was assured she could help me. Not so much - all she could do (despite me clarifying the error and the info from this thread) was to schedule a time for a tech to telephone me tomorrow (more than 12 hours from now). She couldn't even send a reset signal down the line. This was around 8pm my time - I have definitely spoken with tech support at ten or so my time, I asked again for confirmation that there was NO tech available until tomorrow- she said that because it was an issue with On Demand, no-one could help me til tomorrow (during a three-hour window to boot, 9a-12p).
