My DVR stops playback at 8 hours when I have a recording of 11-12 hours of tennis. One Tech had me obtain a new DVR.The problem cleared up for 4-5 days. Called again. This time a Tech did some resets at his end. Worked OK for 4-5 days. Again I had my playback stop at 8 hours. Decided to try a restart or reset the next day. When I looked at the recording the next day it read that it was only 8 hours after reading 11-12 the day before. Apparently when the automatic restart ran overnight it removed 3-4 hours of my recording. Comcast has a software problem and I am really getting disgusted with them. I have had this problem for years and it occurred with 3 different cable boxes.
