The router that we use really serves just as a pass through. I have never seen any speed issues because of it. I have it at home and consistently get 50 and above with Blast. Only suggestion I can give you without being there and troubleshooting myself is to reboot all 3 devices in order. Modem-security router-personal router. Also test speeds hardwired if you aren't already. We aren't all contracted, I am an in house guy. "Forced" to use those routers is a weird way to put it- that's just how it was designed.
