Thank you, Keisha, for your response however it does not answer the issues that Comcast customers have. Please see the following response to your points: 1. Many callers now simply offer a nondescript "Cell Phone CA", "Cell Phone OR", "Kent WA", "Renton WA", or some other innocuous caller ID. The majority of numbers that appear along with the ID cannot be called back. And in the slim chance you do get through and they offer to take your number off their list...it's a total joke because the calls keep coming. It's the equivalent of asking the email spammers who send such things as "Buy V1agra N0w" email to stop emailing you. Yeah right. So, while "anonymous call rejection" is great, it's largely ineffective in tackling this issue. Strike 1. 2. These calls are not threatening in a violent way but they are most definitely harassing. However, calling the authorities about people calling and simply hanging up is not going to get very far as they have "better" things to do like working with people who are receiving truly threatening calls. So, once again, like the anonymous call blocking, the majority of us are left out in the cold as far as any type of solution. Strike 2. 3. The National Do Not Call Registry only works with legitimate and honest telemarketing companies. Those that prompt the frustration that is being expressed here are not that. Further, while reporting a call is a very good thing to do it will not result in the calls stopping any time soon. Registering a complaint on the Registry will simply go towards any POSSIBLE prosecution and this could be years from now. Strike 3. The issue with the above options are that they give us no solution that offers immediate assistance with unsolicited phone calls. Some solutions would be allowing all Comcast Voice customers the ability to block a greatly increased number of callers outright (anonymous or "ID'ed"). Thank you for your time.
