At approximately the same time, 2 evenings in a row, the on-screen guide on ONE of our tv's malfunctions. Hit the guide button on the remote and you just get black screen surrounding the live window.
Xfinity's website and app, as per usual, have proven useless.
Anyone ever have this problem and know why?

I'm also confused about this offering. I posted the following in another thread, but no answer yet:
I've been a Comcast (Xfinity?) subscriber for about 20+ years -- cable, internet, voice. Overall, I'm pleased with the services. However, as a retiree, I'm finding the complexity of the offerings now to be overwhelming -- far more complex than I want to deal with. For example, the new Xfinity MOBILE. I have no clue about how it works. If I purchase a device, does it act like a cell phone that has no added expense with my internet service? Does Comcast assign a mobile number to me? Why do I need "hot spots"? Why do I need to consider monthly data usage? Used for what? What's the difference between data usage and talk and text? I do know that I'm a "hot spot" because my modem is used for xfinitywifi, not just for my secure wifi. I let that stay on.
Apologies for any confusion that we may have caused. XFINITY Mobile is a mobile phone service.
We are operating this service under a MVNO agreement (mobile virtual network operator) with Verizon - combined with our own wi-fi network with our over 16 million hot spots to provide mobile phone service.
The phone will switch to a hot spot automatically and by default. The phone is purchased by the customer from us and you can get a new mobile number or "port" over your existing phone number - your choice.
More info at the links below. I hope that helps.
