I was able to Chat with support and get a replacement unit. The replacement was a used scratched up unit BUT, it was quiet so I am keeping it. Activation was a bit difficult for some reason. Took over an hour on the phone but its finally working. Thanks

I had a XB6 Gateway/router and had port forwarding setup for my camera NVR. I received a replacement XB6 due to fan noise issues in the old one. New router didn't activate properly and had to call support. They finally got it activated and when I went in to look at my forwarded ports, they were not there. Figured because I have a new router I would need to set them up again. I selected the device and added the port forward just as I had before and it will not work. I have two different apps that allow me to connect to my cameras and nothing has changed with either. I deleted the port fowarding and re-added. I also rebooted everything including the NVR. Still no go. What am I missing?

My XB6-T wireless router has started making this medium tone noise that really messes with my ears. Its definately the fan whirling and causing a tone. If I set the router on a towel, the sound dampends some but that restricts airflow and will probably cause it to overheat. Internet, TV and phone area all working fine. Its just an annoying tone coming out of the router. I have read many similar issues ont he Internet and some say its a known issue and get it replaced and others have no solution. I chatted with support yesterday and they were doing diagnostics for almost an hour and I had to go. They said it was escalated and support would be calling me. No call yesterday or today. We don't have a comcast store in our town. What is the best way to get a replacement router even though it may have the same issue. I'm told the newer XB7 modems have an external power supply so there is no fan in those but I also read Wifi is not good with XB7. Anyone have a solution?

Today for some reason all my forwarded ports were deleted. I did try to delete one of them Before and continually got an error saying it could not. But Today I checked and they were all gone. Crazy. I do think there was a problem because my forwarded ports were static IP’s and not DHCP. This is how I had things set up on the old Xfinity router . The new xFi app won’t allow you to add a forwarded port device unless it’s DHCP or at least that’s what I’m finding.

I can't delete my forwarding ports. After upgrading some work and some don't. I want to delete the ones that don't and it just says Oops this can't be done at this time, try again later or reboot your router. Neither help.

My xfi modem in in the center front of my house and the far left right and back had weak signal. I installed the Xfinity pods in 3 different rooms and those areas now seem to full wifi strength BUT internet is really intermitted when connected to the pods. If I go into the room with the modem Internet works great. No stopping on videos or pages loading but go into a room with pods, 50% of the time the internet just stops working even though I show full wifi bars. I'm wondering if these pods are even worth it. How do I remove them and get my 5G signal back if I want to eliminate them? Thanks

I finally found the port forwarding section. I have five ports that I am forwarding that worked fine in the old Comcast router but after upgrading to this new router only one of them works even though they are listed correctly. I also have devices showing as not online when they are. I also cannot delete my forwarded ports for some reason it just says cannot delete it this time try later or reboot your router which both does nothing. Why did they take port forwarding out of the router where it belongs.

Before I upgraded to this new router and xFi Port Forwarding I set up port forwarding in my router so my cameras would work from my phone. Now it shows you have to go to xfinity.com/myxFi and it says Go to Network > Advanced Settings > Port Forwarding.
There is no Advanced Settings or Port Forwarding anywhere in xFI mobile app or Xfi using a browser. I have searched everywhere with no luck. How do you access it? I do think it brought over my settings as I did get blocked accessing one camera and was able to allow but my other two cameras won't connect at all. No changes to my equipment. I would love to see the port forwarding settings but so far I can't find them. Anyone able to help? Thanks.

I am having the same issue since I installed the pods. I had two SSID's before and after installing It must have combined them to the 2.4 SSID name so all I see is the 2.4 name. Your comments of going to devices to verify the type of connection does not work for me. There is nothing in there that tells me if the device is using 2.4 or 5g. It shows I'm connected to the 2.4 SSID but everything in my house is now connected to that SSID. Even iphones and devices that support 5g.
Also, after adding the Pods is the main unit (Modem) no longer a wireless radio. I ask this because I have a wireless device right next to my modem and it is connecting to a pod accross the house now where it should be connected to the Modem.
How can I find out if my devices are using 5g?
