It surprises me that the Weather Scan channel has been dropped all over the western US, but that it still exists in the Chicago area. Why would Comcast selectively drop the channel? I live in Minnesota, and we have lost the channel here, also. It was the first thing I turned on every morning and I checked it throughout the day if the weather was bad. Luckily, I have a computer, so I have access to sources like Weather Underground, but it was always faster to snap on the TV and hit 101 on the remote. It is decisions like this that will drive more and more people to online information and away from cable.
