I continue to get the irritating and by now obnoxious Service Aleret messages about how Comcast is "improving" it's network and that I am to tune to 1995. OK, I've done that on my HD capable boxes and found that two are OK as is and one needs to be replaced. Over a month ago I asked to have the new box shipped and I would install it. Still no box to install. Sadly, I continue to get the same message multiple times per day. How can I kill these messages? I am once again wishing that I had a meaningful alternative to Comcast for TV reception. If I had a choice I would have dumped you folks long ago. WHy would I call "tech support"? Most of the techs are clueless and unable to help.
Is there anything short of getting Dish TV that will resolve this?
