I did figure out the answer to my question. HBO/MAX isn't YET a part of the Xfinity remote app/platform--but I can go to the HBO/MAX stand-alone app & create an hbo/max app password & account, paying through my xfinity account. There's NO free trial offer this way, and I'm paying a dollar more (?) ....
