Here we go again! First Comcast takes away Cinemax and replaces it what they say I would like better – wrong. Then they fail to come to terms with Altitude another of the channels I signed up for and not getting anymore. And today, after spending close to an hour with technical support who’s English was next to impossible to understand I had to go to the Xfinity store to exchange equipment only to come home to an email telling me another of the channels I signed up for will be taken away. Don’t tell me Hitz/Epix is a reasonable replacement for Cinemax and Starz – the only way this is a good thing is if Comcast was to reduce my bill by the amount they now want to add Cinemax and Starz back to my lineup. BTW – during a previous support call I was thanked for being a long time loyal customer and should look for a Loyalty discount in my January bill – nothing!! Signed – A very unhappy customer.

I see at the top of this conversation it says, “Answered” and ***Validated Best Answer as of 07/2019*** Sorry Comcast Jessie, that is not an answer it is a marketing spiel. It just does not make sense, if Comcast removes Cinemax and replaces it with a “channel” that would cost you the same if you would add Cinemax., the dollars are a wash, so leave the package I signed up for alone. You (Comcast) could give your customers the option which channel to keep as part of their package. I want the package I signed up for which includes Cinemax, I do not want Hitz. BTW, when I found out about this change I looked to see what would be the next 3 movies on Cinemax and then did a search for those movies, the result was zero. So I would conclude that Hitz is not an appropriate replacement.

So I found out that Cinemax has been removed from my package and replaced with Hitz. Per Comcast descriptions, this is better for the customer!? When Inoticed this I used the guide to see what the next 3 movies on Cinemax would be and then using the quide and voice remote search for those movies and they were nowhere to be found. So that means I get less programing options now than before - again, how is that a better deal for the customer. So, I can add Cinemax back for $12/mo but for packages that do not include Hitz they can add it for $12/mo - wait, so why are you screwing around with my package, leave Cinemax alone and make Hitz an addon for $12. I do not want Hitz.
I have been a loyal cable subscriber since before it was Comcast but it makes me angry when they decided what is "better" for me. And, quite asking me If I would recommend Xfinity to a friend!
