Amazon Prime gives you free access to whatever Amazon provides for free. In order to access premium channels that are paid subscriptions, those will not be free through Prime. Netflix is on the X1 platform but one still needs to pay for a subscription to access it and the same will hold true for Prime if you watch Netflix through Prime. You can get the app for HBO on Prime but you still have to log in using whatever way you pay for HBO. For example, I pay for HBO through Comcast which allows me to watch HBO on my Fire Stick when I'm in a hotel. However I MUST log into my Xfinity account and then I have to input a code which displays on the TV before I can watch HBO through Prime. I just don't want people being dissapointed when Amazon Prime shows up on X1 and they think every app they see will give them free access to so called premium channels. The good news is Prime has lots of great stuff, movies and TV shows, for free.
