After moving and getting service switched over to the new house I got a notification saying that I needed to update my Norton Security Suite to Norton Security Online and was directed to the page that has the download link. When I click on the big red button I get an error message saying that the page couldn't be found.
I then looked for help on the Symantec website, and it was suggested that I use the Norton Removal and Reinstall tool - which I did. After it finished I had the older version on my computer that asked for the PIN. Since I couldn't find the PIN I called customer service and was told that I needed to download the newer Norton Security Online, but when I told them that I was getting the error message I was told to call Norton.
The rep at Norton had me try using different browsers and, when that didnt' work, tried to get remote access. Neither of these worked. He concluded that the problem must be on Comcast's end since he couldn't even get access to my computer. However, I just called Xfinity and was told that it was Norton's problem.
At this point I would just like to get some Internet security set up, especially since I cancelled my subscription with another service when I was able to get Norton as part of my Xfinity. Any help would be appreciated, because right now we're just going around in circles.

Be aware that typically Comcast will assign a new account number to your new location. Your current Comcast email address(es) (user IDs/logins) may not transfer to your new account, and Comcast may create a new Primary user ID for the new account. They often mess this up and don't tell you. You'll need to watch out for that as you "close out" your old service and "start up" your new service.
Double check your UserIDs on your home system with the Lookup tool at https://idm.xfinity.com/myaccount/lookup. After you enter the requested information you'll see a list of the UserIDs on your account and an indication of which one is Primary. Note that the Primary UserID online doesn't always correspond with a name on your billing statement.
If the ID's are not as you expect, contact one of their reps at the phone number on your bill or 1-800-Comcast, or chat with them at https://support.xfinity.com/chat and have them fix the problem.

I am trying to follow instructions on how to get this new online suite. I had Comcast Norton and I uninstalled it via my Control Panel. I left my settings as I was going to install a Norton Product.
Ok, I uninstalled after shutting off protection and then rebooted Windows 10 Home 64-bit version 1803(April/May 2018 Windows 10 update). I went online with Firefox and clicked on the link in the instructions. It took me to Norton's web site and my password would not work. I am assuming that it would work with the Norton forum id and password, but it did not. Nor did a password with my comcast email. I have gotten no email from them with temporary password as they said I would get. I currently have Windows Defender on and the Windows Defender firewall on.
I am CalamitySusan at the Norton Community Forum. How will I get my vault password, Norton forum password back as well as the new suite??? Please help.

E-8, how do I make sure it is the correct version? Thanks for any reply!
Select Help from the main dashboard and the ABOUT: The following image is what you see in regards to the name of the product and the version. Please note the version was just updated a few days ago. The main dash board will also say Norton Security Online in the top left hand corner, as well as in Priograms and Features.
If you have the above, then you should be up to date with NSO installed. Please be sure to run LiveUpdate until it responds, no updates found - just to ensure you have the latest definitions.

The vast majority of Comcast-provided residential and business gateways and modems were not impacted by the 'VPNFilter' malware. For the very small number of Comcast-issued devices that may be affected, we are in the process of proactively communicating with those customers and exchanging hardware where needed
I have Norton but I get alerts from Macafee saying my account is canceled. Follows is a Virus alert for 3 virus infections.
It mat nothing more than a phishing expedition, but we need more information.
Have you ever had McAfee installed, and if yes, was is completely removed before installing Norton?
Was the warning sent via an email, or a popup notice on your screen?
i have been trying to install norton after a clean install of win 10 but it keeps going to enter 13 digit pin to download. i chat with comcast they sent me to norton i chat with them they sent me to comcast for the pin . i have read other forums and followed there advice but still the same results. Thank you for any advice.
I figured it out ....I had a pin in my norton account. For anyone else just sign in to your norton acc. then go to account settings and it will be listed there with your product. Thanks JonMcB_Norton...
I felt really dumb when I went to account settings and saw all my purchases..
Norton kept giving me a big red X saying I wasn't protected and it had a "Fix It Now" button. When I clicked it, it did a scan that didn't find any viruses, but it still said I wasn't protected. Windows was also complaining that I wasn't protected. I figured that something probably got messed up in the recent Windows update, so I figured I'd reinstall Norton.
I went to "Programs/Features" and click "uninstall", and it starts to uninstall, but stays on a screen saying "Please wait." It stayed there all night. I tried rebooting and doing it again with the same result.
When I go into Norton Security Suite, it says that my signatures are out of date. I manually did an update, but it gave an error trying to apply the update.
At this point, I figured I'd just redownload the latest and install it and hope it fixed issues. But now it's stuck trying to uninstall the old one while installing the new one.
Something is really broken here. I'm adept at using the registry and msconfig, so if anyone has any ideas on how I can manually clean this up and delete the files so I can reinstall it, I'd be very appreciative.

Today Norton v. 7.5.0f140 began updating and it has been running for hours and hours. What is happening? Norton has been working fine for years until today.
