we recently purchased and installed the ring home security system. it seems to be working well except for the wifi signal... it takes along time to connect or at times is doesn't connect at all. or it will record black screen i think due to the wifi connection not connecting as it should. i need to know what wifi i have and how to fix the issue
I actually do think this is a xFi issue. Ring has had several calls from customers that have "upgraded" to xFi and compatibility with Ring devices.
I just got off the phone with Ring Support. They have "no fix" for the TG1682G Arris router. The Ring Video Doorbell 2 worked fine before I got this router, and it became useless with pixelated video, freeze frames, intermittent audio. Since this router is about to be ubiquitous - along with my Eero system that I am using as a bridge, I decided to pull it and send it back. I have only had it a week - so I can return it for a refund.
