mini-Outages sometimes several times a day

For the last 10 days or more, we've been having several mini-outages -  lasting anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute or two.

Usually, it's only our internet service.  But sometimes it's TV, phone, and internet all at once.

This has been happening as often as several times a day, or once every two or three days.

Doesn't seem to be any pattern to it.

Very frustrating!

I could be in the middle of doing my online banking, writing up a blog entry, or reading something important online and Poof! an error page pops up; "No internet connection"

Sometimes I will check the Comcast /Xfinity website on my phone and they will say there's been an outage in the area, but most of the time it reports No Outages.

What could possibly be going on??

Start with the modem's signal stats. Perhaps they already are, or they are close to being out of spec and intermittently they go completely of spec. Try getting them here http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1

Please post the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers.

What is the exact make and model number of the modem ?

The first link (http://192.168.100.1)  times out and can't be reached.

The second link (http://10.0.0.1)  shows me general information and won't accept my username and password in order to get more details.  So that's not working for me either.

The exact make and model number of modem -- CISCO  DPC 3941T    serial #  848DC7FA210C

The mini outages continue....

Unless you changed them, the default username is admin and the default password is password

Hello MATaylor,

EG is correct unless you made changes to your login credentials the default username is admin and the default password is password. Were you able to access your gateway since the last post?
