From a few months ago, my Xfinity network will be failure for about 30 seconds in anytime, in this moment, I can't do anything with internet, if I'm playing games, this will make me disconnect from server, or it will make me disappear when i'm talking with my friend in discord.
When I'm open up the Xfinity web and check my device, it will show me there is a issue with my modem, and after a troubleshoot, looks everything is ok, but when i'm get a failure again and go check my device, the issue still in there, and I have try about 5 times of troubleshoot, but make nothing better.
Actually, I'm going to Xfinity web when I'm writing this article, but I have encountered another failure and waste another 30 seconds. This is not only happened to my computer, every devices that connect to my wifi are have the same problem.
For a test, does a computer hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?
yes, i discovered this problem first in my pc that use ethernal cable, and i see other device have same problem.
What do the modem's signal stats look like ? Try getting them here http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1
Please post the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers.
What is the exact make and model number of the modem ?
Hello, AustenHong. Welcome to the Xfinity Forums!
I would be more than happy to help you troubleshoot this issue. Please provide your signal levels like EG had previously mentioned as well as the modem model you are using.
We look forward to your reply so we can assist further.
AustenHong, as I have not heard back from you in some time, I have closed this thread to further comments. I hope you were able to troubleshoot and find a way to stabilize your connection, but if you still need assistance, please feel free to start a new thread.
