Xfinity router's USB ports

My Xfinity router has 2 USB ports.

When I insert my thumb drive into either of them my PC cannot view the files on it.

How can I use view my files on my thumb drive?

FYI, I am running Windows 10 Pro.

Thank you,

Dan

Have you looked at the User Guide for the 'Xfinity router' model you have to see what it says about the USB ports?  Found this in one UG: 'USB ports (future capability)'

The USB ports are disabled. They may only be used to charge USB devices.
