We have had Xfinity for about 3 months. The signal constantly drops all day long on every single device. I added 6 Xpods to see if that would help. It did not. With all of us at home working and my daughter having to finishing her classes on line, it is impossible to have it drop randomly all day long and then to have to reset the gateway etc. The speed when it is up is fine, but the intermittent connection just is not acceptable. I have reset the gateway so many times today that I can not even count. Please can someone help.
For a test, does a computer hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?
I connected via ethernet today. It disconnected once in the middle of a one hour zoom conference.
That is not as frequent as when I am on wifi, but a disconnect did occur
What do the modem's signal stats look like ?. Try getting them here http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1
Please post the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers.
What is the exact make and model number of the modem ?
The 192.168.100.1 will not connect for me on any device.
The 10.0.0.1 brings this screen up.
I have tried both our Xfinity Acct login and our wifi login.
Neither are accepted.
Is there a separate gateway login that I am missing ?
These are the only 2 login ID's that we were given at the installation.
Thank you for your help
Can't see your pic. Since you are a new poster, it needs to be approved by a Forum Admin. That could take some time. In the interim, you could try hosting it at one of those free third-party pic hosting sites like Imgur or Photobucket and post the link to it here.
