Wi-Fi failures after moving

Recently moved from a house into an apartment and have experienced some trouble with the Wi-Fi. I can still connect to the guest Wi-Fi from one of my neighbors, but any time I try to connect to my home Wi-Fi from my phone, it cycles for about two or three minutes, and returns with a message saying "failed to obtain IP address". I haven't tried calling tech support yet (it's Sunday,) but it seems like it's likely to be a DNS issue. Is there anything I could or should do to try to remedy the issue? From what I've heard, Xfinity is pretty terrible at handling non-hardware issues.
