Why can't I chg DNS on my Gateway? TG1682G

Why can't I chg DNS on my TG1682G Gateway?
I want to do that to point to Adguard DNS servers.
I can chg on my Windows 10 clients, but your gateway intercepts port 53 DNS calls and redirects them to your hard coded DNS servers in the Gateway.
intercept dns.jpg
Fix it.

The DNS settings are hard coded into the Comcast gateway and cannot be changed for security reasons.

If you really want to to this, you'll have to use a personal router and set your gateway to Bridge Mode, or buy your own modem.
