What speed can we expect in the future with the same coaxial lines? (I have gigabit)

Is there anything more that these lines can handle besides 1 gigabit?

The Gigabit Internet Tier is the highest for right now that can be delivered on the existing coax lines.

Gigabit Pro (2 Gbps Symmetrical) requires Fiber.

If Comcast ever fires up a second DOCSIS 3.1 / OFDM downstream channel, you could get 2 gig from the existing DOCSIS coax plant
