What kind of cable is this?

can someone please tell me what kind of cable this is and what its function is? Im trying to install internet and the only cable like outlet I have is this cord?

The picture of the wall outlet is pretty blurred. Can you take a clearer one. It looks like a coax cable wall plate. The green cable you are holding is not a coax cable or fitting. It looks like it may be an optical cord.

Agree. It looks a lot like the SC connector shown on https://www.ppc-online.com/blog/fiber-connectors-whats-the-difference.

So @mls1492 If you are talking about hooking up a cable modem to a coax wall outlet, you'll need a coax cable jumper (whatever length you need) with F connectors such as this;
