Been on the phone with technical support serveral times today for them to tell me each time that Netgear must upgrade the firmware version on my modem. I finally contacted Netgear just to double check to see if this was true, was told the ISP must do the updating for my firmware. Can anyone help me out?
You have a newer firmware version that the Comcast deployed firmware - what exactly is going on that you need this pushed to your gateway?
Most of the time Comcast gets the new firmware and Netgear does not update the page specs with versions. You should be happy you have newer firmware. Comcast is doing their job updating your device. You have no issue.
