Unifi settings help

I've recently change my network equipment at home to include a Unifi system.

I am using a Motorola MB8600 modem.  When I hard wire my modem directly to my computer I'm getting 250+ Mbps downloads which is what I'm paying for.

As soon as a hook the modem up to the Ubuiti USG 3P my speeds drop to 80 give or take.  I'm trying to find out if there are some settings in my USG that are not playing well with recommended Xfinity settings.

Specifically, the Unifi forum suggests I check my MTU and MSS settings to make sure they Xfinity's recommended settings.  (I don't even know what those stand for, lol, as this is my first go at setting up a more specific network).

Thanks for the help!

Re: Unifi settings help

FWIW, the MTU is 1500. Are you sure that the MTU and the MSS are even user adjustable in the router ?

Make sure that the router has the latest version of firmware that is available for it.
