Trouble with fiber into the home internet and remote access to ip cameras
Does anyone else have this service yet? The tech that installed it claimed only 1,000 customers are hooked up with fiber into the home so far and that we are some kind of test bed. Anyway, the fiber gateway is doing its best to stop me from remotely accessing some ip cameras I use for home surveillance. Preferably I would use my Asus router for DHCP and the fiber gateway as just a modem. The gateway does have bridge mode, which I think would be the best option, but enabling that knocks out all our TV's which are hard wired with coax through the gateway as well. I think I might be able to also get this to work with a port forward but when I go to Advanced>Port Forwarding on the gateway's interface there are no options of any sort, it just has the grey text description with no options to configure.
