Smart outlet won't connect to wifi

Can you please offer a suggestion as to why my smart outlet won't connect to the wifi?  It does not support 5ghz, only 2.4ghz.  I disabled the hotspot and that didn't work either.  I have other outlets that are connected.  Please adivise.

It's probably because you have the same name for the 2.4 GHz and the 5GHz bands on your WiFi network. You will need to log onto your gateway or router and change the name of the 5GHz band to a different SSID (name), then start the setup process again using the 2.4 GHz band. You can revert it once setup is complete.
