Settings: Prefer Private Connection - Default Status

Hi,

I am wanting to find out if the setting "Prefer Private Connection" is turned on by default on my router or not.

Also, if I disable it does it somehow re-enable itself automatically or would it take another user turning it back on?

It should be on by default, it is for preferring your private network over Xfinity Wi-Fi. I’m not sure if it turns itself back on it’s own as I leave mine on but I believe it stays off unless you turn it back on.

Isnt this also a form of AP Isolation?

I seems to restict bandwidth to devices just like AP Isolation would when it is turned on.

I haven’t seen bandwidth restricted with it being on.

Is there a place where I can find the manual for my Gateway to find out exactly what this setting does?  I do have a drop in available bandwidth per device when it is one... or at leat after I turn it off I no longer have the badwidth issues.
