My X1 router is freezing 2 to 3 times a day. The X1 cable boxes also freezes. This is most prevalent after or during large read operations, for example during a Skype session or Alexa streaming. This started about 3 weeks ago. Did Comcast change any software or hardware during this period?
I have a 2015-era router. Should I consider replacing it? Do they have more modern -and reliable -equipment?
My router is a TG1682g model. I hook 2 of the Comcast X1 cable TV boxes into this one. Pxdo1ani and px01anc are the model numbers on those TV boxes. And I have the home security panel connect Ed as well. I also have an older AT&T microcel on this router as well.
