Ring doorbell will not connect to new modem

I have the new Gateway modem cgm4140com.  It is setup as auto for choosing bandwidth.  Ring only will connect if it is 2.4Gz channels 1-11.  Anyone know if this can be set for this modem and have the other 5Gz channel still connect automatically?

Not used Ring, I do have that gateway and tried it with Blink XT cam, also with the Sengled hub for lighting.

Some like to give the 2.4 and 5 networks different names for greater control.

I've found that the 2.4 devices will connect anyway even if you use the same SSID name for both networks. Controlled by the apps on my phone on the 5 network. I can view the cam/control lights using Alexa on Fire TV and through a Fire tablet, both of which auto connect to the 5 network.

thank you for the response.  i may try to manually set the channel for the 2.4 to something between 1-11.  I just hope it doesn't interfere with the 5 auto selection for all other devices.   But I just don't understand why Ring doesn't connect at all, even when in the same room as the modem.
