Re: Gigabit Service in PDX = 300-500Mbit?

Re: Gigabit Service in PDX = 300-500Mbit?

I've got the same problem here in the Chicago suburbs.  Using a Netgear CM1000, with my computer plugged directly into the modem, the best I've been able to get is 450Mbps download.  It's actually under 100Mbps at the moment.  Already had a tech out this morning that stated everything was fine.  His test gear showed 950Mbps, even when connected inline with my modem.  Seems like it is an issue with the CM1000, even though it supposedly certified for Gigabit through Xfinity.

Don't confuse your issue with mine - I've tried two separate modems, different brands, both certified for 1Gibt and both show identical perf. for me...

Re: Gigabit Service in PDX = 300-500Mbit?

@pdxgigabit ,

Thought would let you know that they did maintenance overnight last night in my area and now I'm getting 935Mbps down and 40 up.

I got that speed test through my CM1000.  Before whatever maintenance they did, I even tried one of XFinity's own modems and it didn't help.

Keep on Xfinity's back about this!  Good luck!
