Re: All Xfinity Voice Calls drop with CM1150V

<Edited>  I paid $249.99 back in February 2019.  I have had problems from day 1.  Comcast pointed the finger at Netgear and Netgear pointed the finger at Comcast in a 3 way call.  It took 3 days of calling to finally get a Comcast engineer who knew what he was talking about.  I am a retired IT engineer myself.  This modem has major firmware and up/down link issues, and drops the voip randomly.  This is not good for securtiy systems or the smart home.  Total junk, cut your losses and get something else.  I have a one year warranty.  <Edited>

Well, I''m not an IT engineer, retired or active, and yet my CM1150V (firmware version 2.02.04) performs flawlessly: gaming, video streaming, voice calls... I even have Xfinity Home Security AND multiple Smart Home devices, including Alexa based ones and Apple Home ones.

Again. Everything. Works. Flawlessly.

So why does mine work perfectly and yours doesn't? Obviously it isn't the modem itself, no? Or maybe it's yours, specifically?

Good luck your modem aint long for the world.  It is junk!  I have a lot of netgear equipment.  I used to reccomend it to friends and customers.  If I ever do so in the future it will be with the caveate, at your own risk.  It might last a day, or it might last 6 months.  Good luck is all I can say.  I will be changing to a different brand of networking equimpment in the future.  I laid out $250.00 bucks and got a piece of junk.  It got worse by the day.  It is supposed to be under warranty for a year.  All other support has ended.  The most I can recover would be a replacement that most likely would not function either.  A Comcast engineer told me this modem had firmware and upstream issues.  I wanted an Arris TM3402 but it isn't approved by Comcast yet.

Did you try any of the tips ? You haven't posted any of the requested info.. Maybe it's a line / connection quality problem.
