Problems with SB8200 dropping connection and rebooting

I just bought a SB8200 and I have now replaced it one and had a tech to my house twice to help get it working. The modem works and then the internet will lock up and I will have to reboot the router to get connection again. I was upgraded to 400mbs and I do not see more the 185 most of the time but sompetime I can see up to 365. The biggest problem I see is that I work form home and use my internet connection to run meeting in skype and HP My rooms. Today the internet connection has drooped 5 time in 3 hours. This is getting crazy.

Some of the downstream channel's power levels and some othe SNR's are on the low / weak side and may be intermittently fluctuating even farther out of spec. That can cause random disconnects, spontaneous re-booting of the modem, and speed and latency problems.

In a self troubleshooting effort to try to obtain better connectivity / more wiggle room, check to see if there are there any excess/unneeded coax cable splitters in the line leading to the modem that can be eliminated/re-configured. Any splitters that remain should be high quality and cable rated for 5-1002 MHz, bi-directional, and no gold colored garbage types like GE, RadioShack, RCA, Philips, Leviton, Magnavox, and Rocketfish from big box stores like Home Depot, Lowes, Target, Wal-Mart etc. Splitters should be swapped with known to be good / new ones to test

If there aren't any unneeded splitters that can be eliminated and if your coax wiring setup can't be reconfigured so that there is a single two way splitter connected directly off of the drop from the street/pole with one port feeding the modem and the other port feeding the rest of the house/equipment with additional splits as needed, and you've checked all the wiring and fittings for integrity and tightness and refresh them by taking them apart then check for and clean off any corrosion / oxidation on the center wire and put them back together again, then perhaps it's best to book a tech visit to investigate and correct.

Your error log confirms your connection issues.

I've asked an employee to check the CMTS for real-time and historical RF signal reports from your modem. They can also check your local node/plant for any degradation or error reports. You can expect a reply in this thread.

I checked all the connections for the 4th time. Their is only one powered splitter in my house. The tech checked all the same connections both times he was onsite. The only thing I do not believe has been checked is the connection at the pedestal. Being in an online class this week the internet is just so bad that I get 15 to 30 min and then everything drops.  I will look to see if I have a good 2-way splitter and connect the modem to it off the main and connect the other side tot he splitter for the tv's in my house. The powered splitter in my house is an 8-way powered splitter but I am only using 3 ports 2 for tv's and 1 for the modem.

I did as suggested and added a splitter off the main line in and split the signal to go directly to the modem and a seprate link to the tv.
