Number of DOCSIS Channels actually available to me

How can I Find Out / Measure / List how many DOCSIS Channels are actually available on the service provided to me?

Try accessing your modem's user interface pages here http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1 and see what you actually have.

EG,

Thanks for the modem status link 192.168.100.1.  That status shows 8DN/4UP.  My modem is ARRIS TM822G, which I think is limited to 8DN/4UP.   Is there a way to determine what is actually available on the cable in my area, to my home?  If that modem is the limiting factor, maybe I would get a different, more capable modem.

A tier 2 CC employee should be able to tell you that definitively. Most, if not all areas currently should have upwards of 24 to 32 downstream channels. Which speed tier do you subscribe to ?
