I bought an Xfinity internet subscription yesterday with a self-install option. Despite multiple attempts, gateway won't get online light on and US/DS kept blinking instead of steady. Phone support had me restart the gateway and did a bunch of things to no avail. Finally, I have scheduled a tech visit to see what's wrong. My guess is there wiring itself isn't working.
In such a case am I liable to pay for the technician visit or I am better off canceling the subscription itself?
If the other end of the line was disconnected at the tap by them, they can't charge you for reconnecting it. If something is found to be a problem on your side of the demarcation point / grounding block, then you may be charged.
