New 2.4ghz device cannot find WiFi

I have pods and my Wifi is set to automatic between 2.4 & 5.0. I hooked up a new sprinkler timer that is 2.4ghz and it is not finding my Wifi. I have tried entering my SSID and password still doesn't work. I have other 2.4 devices that are connected with no issue.  I was going to split up the Wifi to 2.4 & 5.0, but I read the Wifi must be set to automatic when you have the pods. Any help is appreciated!

Update- the new device sees the Wifi but will not connect. I confirmed that I am entering the correct password.

Re: New 2.4ghz device cannot find WiFi

I have a similar issue. I have several smart home devices that require connection only with the 2.4GHz signal; and many were not connecting at first. I split the signals so that both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz signals now show as separate names on the network. This way I was able to connect the smart home devices.

However, I want to add pods to create a mesh network. How do I do this while being able to manually ensure the smart home devices connect to the 2.4GHz signal?
