My router had been working fine for weeks until this morning, when suddenly it stopped working. On troubleshooting page it says 'Issue Detected' for my cable modem. The comcast representative says technician can come a week from now. It is really frustrating and disappointing
I wouldn't go by that Xfinity page. My Netgear modem always shows up as "issue detected", but there's nothing wrong with it. (I have been told it's a website problem, but I doubt it works with retail devices).
So are there any lights on the device, are they flashing or on steady? Have you tried unplugging the device and plugging it back in / resetting it?
Take a look at the troubleshooting page:
Thanks for trying to help.
Power light steady on.
Wifi light steady on.
Downstream light is flashing.
Upstrem light is off.
Internet light is off.
2.5Ghz and 5Ghz are steady on on.
The lights show that there is either no RF signals coming from the Comcast feed or they are too weak for the modem to be able to achieve sync with the system.
So, something is wrong with the modem itself?
Or probably with the wall connector? (though I have two wall connections, both have same issue)
I have tried with different coax cables resulting in same issue.
