Need compatible Internet/Voice Modem to replace existing device

I would like to purchase an Xfinity-approved Internet/Voice Modem to replace the existing device that I am currently leasing from Comcast. Current model is ARRIS Group, Inc. TG1682G

Also, will Comcast support a purchased modem at the same level as a leased one, taking into consideration that the purchased modem is approved to work with Xfinity?

Please advice.

Hi @artlady90

Thank you for posting to the Xfinity Forums. If there are any issues with your customer-owned equipment we will do some troubleshooting, but in the event, we have to send a tech for any issues that are found to be caused by your modem, you would be charged for the tech coming out. I hope this helps.
