My download speeds are not accurate?

I tested my speed and it says 170mbps.

I was updating my game and it shows my download speed is 20mbps. What gives?

Perhaps the server that you were downloading it from was bogged down, so that's all it could muster up ? Different / poor routing ? It could be many things.

Most public download servers, especially from microsoft, sony, and other game producers can't even come close to offering you your max connection throughput on a single connection. I have gigabit ethernet, but will still only get 20mbps from a single site on a single request.
